Hey everyone,
I'm one of those people who put a couple hundred down on the stereo Beatles box set, only to get notice that it's on backorder. I realize that globally, this has been the availability situation, but am wondering if anyone knows when EMI will be sending out more copies, and more specifically, when Best Buy will start to fill the current orders. Thanks!

As an answer to my own question, about an hour after posting this thread, I saw online that one of my local Best Buy stores got some of the Beatles sets in stock. I have since adjusted my online order to allow me to go have it fulfilled in person at the store location in about an hour. I've got a ticket to ride!

Did you get your copy yet?

Yeah, I did. And it's really an amazing box set. I do have one problem though... my Yellow Submarine cd which was included won't read at all in any computer that I insert it into. It will just spin in the drive until the drive ejects it.... anyone have any ideas?

Hello Harvester68,
I agree that it's an amazing set. The clarity is beyond what I was hoping for! My copy of Yellow Submarine worked just fine for audio playback and in the computer for viewing the mini-documentary. I can count the number of defective CDs I've purchased since 1987 on one hand, but they still happen, alas. You can return the box set as defective, but our policy for media returns dictates exchange for same item only. I don't foresee that an exchange would be a problem (at least, it would be fine for me) as long as your local store is in stock.

I think I might have just recently thrown out the receipt, but I did pay with a credit card. Will the store stil accept my return? I'm fine swapping for the same item, I just want all the discs to work. I have since attempted to load the disc on three more computers, and it gets the same error. Thanks!

Hello again Harvester68,
If you've lost your receipt, the customer service representatives should be able to print you a new copy. As long as your item is in like new condition and a copy of the receipt can be located by store associates, you'll have no problem with the exchange. I hope this helps.
Sincerely,

It does help! Thanks, I'll go try and return it today. I've been disappointed that I couldn't enjoy that album!
