From what I can tell 5066097 is the original release that is Blu-ray+DVD+UltraViolet/Digital HD. 30269304 is a re-release which only has Blu-ray+UltraViolet/Digital HD so no DVD. And 5136200 I'm assuming is also Blu-ray+UltraViolet/Digital HD but includes Fandago Cash for The Huntsman: Winter's War. At least going by the release dates listed and the info from what I seen over at these links.

Hello Sjwolf,

I have to admit I haven't seen 47 Ronin yet, but it remains on my list. Apart from the ambiguity you discovered between our product listings, what did you think of the movie?

richmoral does a good job of cyphering out the differences between the Blu-ray listings for this title, but I will report the dearth of differentiating information to our corporate partners in the hope that additional clarification can be added to BestBuy.com.

I'm grateful that you wrote to us with your query.

Thanks. I'll go with the orginal release. Appears to be cheaper and include more things, as long as the re-release doesn't  have any additional extra features or something, but that isn't specified anywhere.

At first, I was really looking forward to the movie. They kept delaying it for a long time. When I saw the preview I was turned off by the mystical elements and I was concerned it would be too much like 300, which I feel is overrated. I wasn't expecting much from the movie, but I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, after seeing the previews. I definitely think the reviews were too harsh.

Re: 47 Ronin Blu-ray

Hello Sjwolf,

That's interesting. I'll definitely have to get this movie closer to the top of my list.

I'm a fan of Keanu Reeves. I find his performances enjoyable. I think he's more underrated than not, especially after seeing him in Constantine and The Day the Earth Stood Still (which was a terrible film and a disservice to the original, but Keanu was great as Klaatu), which I really enjoyed.

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts!

I saw The Day the Earth Stood Still in the theatre it wasn't bad, but I don't remember much about it. For me the thing that stood out most about that movie was Robert Knepper in a role that's not a villian. Knepper is definitely underrated and some one you love to hate.

I've only seen a few mins of Constantine on TV.

Keanu is an interesting actor. He can give a good performance, but I think it's difficult to find good roles for him to play. 47 Ronin is one of his better performances, but I think he's best in The ReplacementsHardball, and Street KingsAnother role that is memorable to me is Something's Gotta Give because he doesn't do anything wrong and gets screwed over. It was probably for the best anyway though lol.

Have you seen John Wick? I've been thinking of trying that.

Re: 47 Ronin Blu-ray

Hey there Sjwolf-

I really liked John Wick.  While it's your basic revenge movie, it's got some nice twists and great atmosphere, along with some tremendous action.

Keanu does a pretty good job communicating the pain of his losses as well, I'd watch it again!

Re: 47 Ronin Blu-ray

Howdy Sjwolf,

John Wick has teased me from the shelves for a long time and I've heard good things about it, but haven't taken the plunge yet. I keep hoping it will show up on one of the streaming services to which I subscribe.

I agree that Keanu seems quite capable and that he's memorable in many of his roles. He was used quite well in The Matrix movies, for example, but was exactly the wrong choice to deliver a Denis Leary-style rant like the one in Johnny Mnemonic. He was particularly stellar in Little Buddha I thought, which would have been an unusual undertaking for any actor, I think.

I haven't seen The ReplacementsHardball, Something's Gotta Give, or Street Kings yet and that's bad of me. I've discovered that I claim to be a fan of certain musical artists or actors and then find out that there are huge holes in my knowledge of their repertoire. It looks like I'll be having a Keanu marathon one of these days very soon!
