Hi. I just got the Samsung Intensity 2 and there are some features that are frustrating me, and I'm wondering if its just my phone or something that is inherent to all Intensity 2 phones. My main frustration with the Intensity 2 is a lag in the display after hitting buttons. For example, when I try to take a pic, it takes 1 or 2 seconds after I hit the button to actually take the picture. And my basic, no-frills solitaire game that I downloaded is almost impossible to play. If I hit the arrow keys or OK button too quickly, it doesn't register some of the keystrokes. I had a 4 year old Sony Erricson flip phone from AT&T that has no keystroke lag.
Anyway, I still have over a week left for the 14-day trial period, so I'm thinking of switching to the Pantech Jest 2 and ditching the Intensity. But I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the Jest 2 has these kind of lag issues. Other than making calls, sending a handful of texts a month, taking a few pics and a rare video (which the Intensity 2 doesn't even do even though I was told by the sales guy that it did), and playing my solitaire game (not online, but downloaded to phone), that's all I do. I don't have or want a data plan because I don't get online. I just want a basic phone that works solidly for the tasks I listed above. I'm wondering if the Jest 2 is better in this respect or if another phone would be even better. Since a majority of the phones that BB carries are not in the store, I hate to have to keep ordering them online just to find out if I'll like it or not. (I actually ordered the LG Extravert first and recieved it last Thursday, but the touchscreen was horrible and I could barely do anything on it, so I returned it Saturday and the sales guy said I might like the Intensity, but after 2 days it's driving me crazy with the lag!) I just wish there were a way to test these phones in the store before getting all my info transferred and getting home and realizing I can't stand it.
Sorry to get on a tangent.
I just want some honest answers on how well a phone works before I purchase it and find out I don't like it, especially because there's only a 14-day trial period. Unless the phone is actually in the store, the sales people don't seem to know much about it.
So if anyone has either of these phones from Verizon, please let me know what you think about how they work and if you have similar issues to what I mentioned above.
Hope you can help me out. Thanks! ![]()
