I went to my local Best Buy store on Sunday to get a new cellphone. I wanted the Razr Maxx and because I had checked online I knew it was out of stock, but I figured I could just order the phone and it would either ship or I could pick it up when it became available. I wanted to get it on Sunday because of the double rewards point offer and while I was there I had planned to purchase the Kindle 3G ereader so I could qualify for the 18 month same as cash financing offer. Much to my surprise I found that although I was ready and willing to spend almost $500 to get the two items I could not order the Razr Maxx because it was out of stock which meant I could not take advantage of the double points offer and because I would not be able to take advantage of the two offers I did not purchase the ereader.. I checked with Amazon when I got home and while they were also out of stock I would have been able to order the phone. I just find this to be very strange policy on the part of Best Buy and I have to imagine that they have lost a great deal of business because of this policy. I am not a happy Best Buy customer right now.

Sorry to hear about your problem.
The simple answer is: If our warehouses do not have it in stock (which is verified through an order management systyem) we are not allowed to order these items.
Whenever you have a problem speak to the mobile manager. They are usually helpful.
