Not that it will change your mind, but I have a buyer lined up for my 3gs, the more I wait to sell it the less money I'm going to get. On top of that, like I've said over and over it's the principal of being misled and the whole runaround. I don't see how any consumer wouldn't understand that, but whatever. It bothers me, and I'm not the only one. I could care less if Jason deletes that thread, who would look at these forums anyway other than Best Buy employees, who cant or wont do anything anyway, people like me who are complaining, or people like you who don't care either way. The only purpose of posting here is to vent.

I never mentioned problems. I just find the entire iPhone 4 launch amusing. I'm not singling out the BB part.
Venting does take place on here, but when you start with personal attacks, such as calling someone a loser, you've crossed the forum guidelines. I may be very opinionated, but I haven't personally attacked anyone or engaged in name-calling, despite others doing exactly that to me.

You don't need to resort to name calling when you know you're poking the bear with a stick. People are running into issues with the launch of the phone and you continue to rile them up with script like responses and overall lack of any sympathy, you know exactly what you're doing and you see the response from people and continue to do it. While you might think the trolling is fun other people don't and are quite annoyed by it, in my opinion what you are doing is worse than someone calling you names as you're toying with their emotions. I will admit it's a bit silly to get so worked up about a phone but I'm not going to judge people for it, they are here to voice their concerns so quit trolling them.
I'm actually quite shocked having closing in on 10k posts that you wouldn't compose yourself in a better manner, people see the Super and see the Valued Expert and WILL link you to Best Buy. As much as you think your covering yourself by saying "I'm not affiliated with BB and nothing I say is endorsed by BB" the people that see it completely disregard that when you hold "special" tags like you have.
Now, on that note.. If you don't think the i4 is that big of an upgrade from the 3GS, you clearly haven't had enough time with the i4. The screen is absolutely gorgeous and makes every other phone I've played with look bad and it's EXTREMELY snappy with everything. The reception issue really is a problem they need to fix, word is they are having a "fix" come with the iOS update on Monday which I hope isn't just a superficial fix.

Solange, did you speak to a manager at your store? If you did, I would contact someone at the store level and try to go higher.

I've spent thousand's of dollars there as well, but what kind of business takes pre-orders for something they can't even fulfill? The playing ignorant game doesn't suite such a big company. "Oh well Apple diverted phones", "Apple hasn't told us anything". Here's an idea.. Next year don't even bother selling the iPhone until its readily available, that way you can avoid looking like such an incompetent business.
BTW, whoever's idea it was to fill a pre-order with a piece of paper and a gift card is a joke. "Largest electronic's retailer in the world" with computers at there disposal and here I am my pre-order sheet being put in a folder. Sure leaves plenty of opportunity to put friends/family/coworkers in front of my pre-order don't ya think?
I agree 100 percent.

If crooks at best buy are for real, this is the last time BB will have my business. For those that work at best buy and manage to give their friends and relative the advantage in obtaining an iphone 4 should be terminated immediately. Come on folks this isn't the end of the world and like the iphone is like the only thing we all need to survive here. I don't mind the waits if I was told before hands. I never had the experience of any order in the past and this by far is beyond bad. If you don't have to the product, why bother getting involve with the pre-order process? BB better have some sort of incentive reward with all this crazyness. I just hated the fact that I was guarantee a phone on launch day. Never been so hyped up and now the 24th is all over with, I could care less about the iphone 4. The reason for the pre-order was to get it that same day. I guess we all learn that wasn't the case.
This isn't the first time I had problems with them best buy guys. Last time I went in to get my dad an iphone. We spent almost FIVE hours waiting for them to get the phone activated, come on guys. Five freakin hours? After the store nearly reached its closing hour, the mobile employee told us to head on home and wait for the phone to be activated. Wait atleast another 4-5 hours. So when we got home I called up the tech support at AT&T and wham 10 minutes later the phone was activated. AT&T was sadden by the poor technical difficulty play by the BB employee. This time when time come to pre-order the iphone 4, I was kinda skeptical about doing business again with BB. And man I should of listen to my instincts. Yes it happen, BB has never fail so bad at attempting to please me.
Now after reading that BB employee are giving the advantage to their buddy and relative the iphone ahead of their rightful customers, I am raged by this matter. Come Tuesday morning, if I can't get a phone at at&t. I'll just have to take my last walk into BB and demand my money back and forget about the iphone would ever had a launch day. This is Apples, BB, Radio Shacks, and AT&T faults for screwing this up.

I don't understand how Best Buy is trying to deflect all the blame on this? Best Buy currently has over 1150 stores and Apple has approx. 288? I'm willing to bet that Best Buy's annual Apple sales figures trump that of the Apple stores...Don't tell me that Best Buy doesn't have any clout with Apple...Why can't someone in the procurement department demand some answers? This fiasco is definitely reflecting on Best Buy in a negative way...most of us are asking for is CLEAR and HONEST answers on the availability of the pre-orders...It may take a little work, but I'm sure someone at Best Buy can strong arm the Apple Execs. into providing a little more information...

Apple is touting that they sold 1.7 million units in 3 days. Their earlier boast was that they received 600,000 pre-orders. I don't know if BB's pre-orders were included in that number (though for marketing purposes, why wouldnt you include ALL pre-orders to inflate your numbers?) The point is - thats 1.1 million iPhones supposedly in inventory to sell that was beyond the amount pre-ordered - according to Apple's own numbers. This fact is just making me more mad that I have yet to get a call from BB. No matter whose fault all this is (and yes, I know BB is doing it's best), this just underscores how BB customers were screwed. Before Apple brags further on their sales - how about settling the debts to faithfull customers who just happen to have chosen BB because Apple servers were down on the 15th.

Sorry if I insinuated you were a loser, I didn't mean that in that way. I am a little befuddled as to why you seem to go out of your way to goad people who are obviously are already in a mood, but I did not mean to personally attack you.
