That is funny.  There is actualy a Seinfeld episode that relates to the whole Bust Buy taking pre-orders for phones they don't have thing.  

Jerry made a reservation at a restaurant and they didn't hold a table for him.  Jerry said, "Do you understand what a reservation is? To give a reservation you have to hold the table.  Without the hold you have no reservation.  Anyone can take a reservation, but without the hold there is no reservation."

Bust Buy aparently missed this episode.
