As of right now, the only options that i know to pre order the iphone 4 on feb 3 is with verizon and apple.  Will best buy join the mix?  Id like to get it from best buy if possible but if i have to i will get it at apple.

What I've read states that it is only available on Verizon.com for preorder on Feb. 3 and that is only if you are eligible for an upgrade.  On Feb. 10, it will be for sale at Apple, Verizon, and authorized retailers.

I'm probably mistaken on whether or not you have to be eligible for an upgrade in order to preorder on Feb. 3 from verizon.com.  But, you do have to be an existing verizon customer to preorder.  I would suggest you call Verizon customer service for clarification. They should have the answers you are looking for.

You never have to be eligible for upgrade to preorder, as you always have the option of purchasing the phone at full price.

I just got off the telephone with Verizon customer service.  As stated by the customer service agent, you must be eligible for an upgrade on your line to be eligible for the pre-order on Feb 3rd.  Pre-orders will not be shipped until Feb. 10th.

Through verizon... nothing has been announced for bb yet. If bb does it, they allow preorders without being eligible for upgrade. I have a hard time believing that Verizon is not going to allow people to buy them outright.
