Hi, I'm trying to buy the iPhone 4s on Sprint's network(currently on T-Mobile) and I would like to have my number transferred but everytime I try it gives me that message.
Any ideas on why my number is not eligible for a transfer?

You do have to canel your existing contract and cancel service on the number, then have that nimber available for transfer. You cannot have the same number on two carriers simultaneously. You should do the wswitch in store so that the porting is done properly so you do not lose the number.
