BBB is looking into this matter as they said what Bestbuy is doing does fall within their scope for reasons to be investigated. As they have contacted Bestbuy for their side of the story. let's see what happens now,.

I just spoke with Mike at Corporate. The policy was changed this weekend and preorderers will be getting their phones first in the order the preorder was received. If your store is not saying this, have them check with their corporate office. The customer service from both people answering the phone was excellent. They were really nice and very friendly.
I totally understand why someone who went and preordered the phone wants their phone. It is only fair to expect, when you have put money down, to receive your order at the soonest possible date.

I pre-ordered my iPhone 4s at my local Best Buy and was told that they'd be calling up the people who pre-ordered as soon as they received the phones. That way, pre-orderers won't have to wait in line. Also, they were not sure how many (and what kind) iPhone 4s models they were receiving. Pretty much what the new instated policy says.
I was told this 10am PST on Oct. 7.... Hopefully they follow through with what they told me...

No one is acting like a girl. Good for you that you preordered an iphone and was told that it's first come first serve and that your preorder is worthless. So, what time are you waking you to stand in line?

Just recieved from my local BB store manager in Hartsdale, NY:
We will begin making calls in the order of who pre ordered first. No walk ins will be accepted until after all pre orders are fulfilled. We will be opening at 8am on Friday and you do not have to come in unless you are called and we have your phone here. We do not know as of yet how many phones we are getting in. As soon as we know how many phones we are getting in, we call call the customers based on who is first on the preorder list.

I went to Bestbuy.com and used the store locator, then entered my zip code, then clicked on my stores link and there was a contact email. My stores GM replied even though it was not addressed to him.
