Now I'm not a fan-boy, or a die hard critic, but I've been flipping through the 100's of pages devoted to everyone's' scenario. I pre-ordered, I got a call, I got shafted, and NOW all I want to know is where I sit in my little line of unknown size or proportion. Everyone (used loosely) wants a certain two questions answered, "When does the next shipment arrive, and am I in the next 5 (seems to be a popular # in many given shipments) people to receive one?" Well it seems to me that the same answer keeps popping up (Thank you Nokia, and Jacob for being moderators and dealing with the good and the BAD), the people (Jacob, John, and presumably Nokia) left to deal with us (the shafted) are either not allowed to tell us the real answers (UN-likely) or they really just do NOT know (HIGHly probable). My question is this, and I hope that I can get a better answer than "talk to your stores GM." (sometimes a certain person in charge is just a tool)
Who should I be talking to?
I find it difficult to believe that I can call someone over at Apple and ask, "Hey, hope your brand new hummer is fully loaded, and BTW, when do you plan on restocking a non-affiliated business partners store ( Best Buy #398)?" *Insert the best answer you can think of HERE* "Oh really? your sending me one directly, AWEsome!"
SO, Jacob, Nokia, Who should I call tomorrow, if talking to the GM is going to get the same result as you can give, Who is in charge of handling shipments made TO my store? Who is the one that can say, "Hello, thanks for calling FEDEX, name's Susan, I just scanned a box with BB #398 as the recipient from Apple about 20 minutes ago."? And if you don't currently have that answer that's alright, because not everyone knows everything. I am, however, sure that you have a boss, and they have a boss, and that bosses boss has a boss, and somewhere along that line of exponentially growing salaries, there has to be someone that could easily find out. So I implore you to ask them. Tell 'em that I sent ya, and hopefully we can take over the WORLD, or at lease find out what is really going on. Thank in advance for your time to everyone involved.

I find it hard to believe that out of everyone who has read this, none of them are moderators. Let alone Jacob, or Nokia (whom the questions are aimed at)

I actually just got home.
And actually, I'm not a mod. This forum would be a lot cleaner if I were.
I am just like you. I don't have any connection to BB, so all I can go off of is Jacob's responses and things I know from employees. Namely, there really isn't a way to find out when the next shipment arrives, unfortunately. Apple are the ones currently handling the shipments. They are UPSing them directly to BB stores.

Nokia is not a moderator, and if I were you Jacob, I would make it VERY CLEAR that he isn't. Unless you want Best Buy to be remembered as not only NOT fulfilling preorders that were promised, but also patronizing and blaming upset customers the way he is doing on daily basis.
Obviously people are getting the impression, for whatever reason, that he is affiliated in some way with Best Buy. Unless you agree with all his snark comments calling us "presumptious", or all the other ABSOLUTELY ridiculous things he has said lately. Your silence is deafening, IMO.

Phones are currently shipping directly from Apple and are arriving at random intervals not set by Best Buy®. They will continue to arrive from Apple until our allotment is reached.
If Nokia was a Mod, it would say so next to his user name like mine says Admin.
Thanks,

Still nothing heard from Silverdale. I really regret this pre-order.

squidly, when did you last call or visit them? The Olympia, WA #839 store got a shipment of iPhone 4 yesterday and they have fulfilled all their pre orders and were giving them to walk ins as of last night I believe. I picked up my pre order and there were two others in line getting iPhones (both walk ins).

As of around 1:00 this afternoon, the Asheville, NC store had fulfilled its pre-orders of 16gb but not the 32! They were selling 16gb units to walking but there are several pre-orders of 32gb phones that still don't have theirs yet. There was one girl there that was with her brother picking up a 16 and she was waiting on a 32. My hubby and i were both getting our 32s but we were apparently well ahead of her on the list. She got really nasty and I think the manager was about ready to kick her out of the store when her brother finally got her calmed down. I have been anxiously waiting for my phone, but there was no reason to get hostile and make a scene in the store. I mean, really! It is a phone, not a matter of life and death! Of course, I can say that now because I have mine. :-) Seriously, though. If you haven't recently, I would check again. There seem to be shipments arriving daily! Hopefully all the pre-orders get filled in the next few days, then we can start hearing about when the white ones are coming. LOL!

Best Buy had no problem taking our 50 dollar deposit, while you can return the GC if you aren't lucky enough to have an Apple store around you and your AT&T stores are sold out you are basically SOL and waiting for Best Buy to hold up their end of the preorder. I understand the frustration but there is nothing anyone at the store can do, they don't have gnomes in the back making iPhones.
