Amazon is $179.99 with 2 year contract, but it's backordered right now.

Dude, the "real answer" is published all over the place.

The confusing pricing that was batted about before the product was released was confusing; but it was before release.   And guess what; the price may change 10 more times after it is released.   Thats how the world works.   Just look on the website; the price is plane as day.

Then Stop whining.

The price of the HTC Thunderbolt is currently $249.99

As we can see from how this topic progressed, and like bubba505 said, prices do change - and they may change often.

Hi, bubba.

Sorry, if I was not sufficiently clear, but, of course, I was not referring to the price of the phone at this point. That is known by all.  I would have thought that was obvious to everyone.

The lack of response I was referring to was with respect to Jacob's claim that Best Buy had not changed their pricing but that there was a lower incentive price for those who participated in the pre-buy. For earlier discussion of this issue, see, eg, Post #s 36, 89 & 94, etc.

Thanks, Robrecht

I wonder what makes verizon think this phone is worth $299?

Fail

Nowhere did Verizon ever claim that the price of this phone would be $299.  That price was only ever mentioned by Best Buy.
