My wife and I have upgraded phones at Best Buy in the past , with no issues.  I know Best Buy used to let you upgrade any eligible phone on your plan, and you were able to call verizon and switch the new phone to another number on your plan.  But I've been reading about how you can't do that if you upgrade through places like wirefly or amazon.  I 've read the terms and conditions from Best Buy and I can't find anything about it.  

Has Best Buy changed their policy?  Or would I still be able to upgrade a phone at best buy and switch the phone to another number on my plan, especially since i signed up for the Phone Freedom thing earlier this month?

Best Buy Mobile will happily perform an alternate upgrade for you.

If you upgrade in-store, the associate can do everything for you in one transaction.

If you upgrade online, you will have to call Verizon to switch the lines. Unlike Amazon or Wirefly, there will be no sort of Early Termination Fee just for swapping phones.
