Thanks for the response, Dan. I had already spoken with the CS rep over the phone earlier this morning. They told me that they extended the pre-order for me and will notify the branch that I pre-ordered at back on 10/7. Nontheless, even if it was in error, it's somewhat odd because I received a similar email in the middle of last month, around 10/16, saying that the pre-order item was "unavaialble to ship" and that I should check other branches to see if the item was in stock there. Overall, there just seems to be a disconnect between bestbuy.com, the email follow-ups, and the actual store locations. That's not even taking into consideration the disconnect between Apple/Sprint and Best Buy as far as providing supply of the product, which ultimately is the main issue at hand for all the Best Buy locations. I'm actually far more patient with this situation than I normally would be, mostly because this phone will not be for me, but another family member on my account that I was gifting this phone for. The worst part of all of this is, it was supposed to be a "get well" gift for that family member while they were recovering from surgery. That plan went out the window when the phone hadn't been shipped to Best Buy for the past month...LOL.
