Once again, since you cannot grasp a simple concept, you are the dumb*ss.  It wasn't intentional.  I guess you really are too confused to understand that.

NoNoBadDog, You missed the point... It's not the snafu it's the treatment of the consumer.

Apples to Oranges? Really? It's selling something you don't have any gauranteed, promised or implied delivery options from the manufacturer. No amounts of product promised by any fixed dates. At least the airlines know their capacity and oversell based on a fairly accurate no show rate. Best Buy has no clue if and when they will receive any phone. Sprint phones are not being delivered at all. Verizon phones almost as bad. They have no controls in place and no leverage on the manufacturer.

The chain from manufacturer to distributor to store doesn't exist. These items are drop shipped drectly from Apple. But you continue to talk like you know the process. BUT Best Buy did know well in advance that they would not be receiving any where near the level of phones they were getting pre-sales for... FURTHER they knew they would not be getting any Sprint phones according to several sources. They didn't and still have not communicated to the customer. ZERO and I mean ZERO communication not initiated by myself has happened. Not even a returned phone call until an investigative report was being produced and corporate was contacted for information.

Did Best Buy have the committment from Apple to be able to offer pre-sales. In our looking into this matter it appears they didn't have any committment from Apple as other 3rd part resellers had in place. Further, They continue to try and represent that they are filfilling orders of these phones to people when in fact they are not. They are across the country, LIEING to customers about holding phones in current stock for orders taken before the 14th. No stock exists. They are representing the fact that they have them and are holding them for those with pre-orders. They don't have them, haven't had them, and don't know if and when they will receive them.

Why don't you make a call to your local best buy before you talk about something you have zero knowledge on.

BTW - What is not intentional about lieing to customers who inquire about the phone. Telling them they can pre-order phones to get on the next batch they receive... Blatantly stating they have phones in stock but they are held for pre-existing pre-sales. NO THAT'S NOT INTENTIONAL MISREPRESENTATION IS IT???

I have not belittled anyone on this forum but your monicker fits... People have accused you of being a Best Buy employee... It's clear your just their lap dog.

Wow...I just don't know what to say to such a bunch of rabid customers...no one is deceiving you.  It is really sad that you choose to believe that all this is intentional.  The fact that Best BUy outlived  CompUSA, Circuit CIty, and others is  because they lie, cheat and steal? 

 

I am really sorry that many didn't get their hardware when it was promised.  I am equally sorry that you are all so blinded with rage, hatred, or whatever it is you are feeling that you cannot see the situation clearly.

NoNoBadDog... My post is exactly what happened and is exactly what is being expressed by everyone else. They are not communicating and they are misrepresenting the truth at the store level and higher... How many times does it take to figure that out? I dare you to call your local store and tell them you would like to purchase a 4s phone for Sprint. Then see what happens. Then call several more stores and see what happens. Then come back and speak from having a bit of knowledge.

My information is very straight forward and easy to understand. Try re-reading it and then do as I suggest. Then report back to the forum about your experience. I would even be willing to conference you in on a call if you would like!!!

BTW - Circuit City failed very clearly because of bad management... I would suggest this is representative of bad management when you don't repond in any way to your customers.

You say you worked in this industry... Would you let a customer go uncontacted for six days that called you? Would you not be proactive and notify your customer if their was an issue with an ordered product? Or did you just not respond and get rude with your customers?

Think about the level of service you gave and what you expected from your staff... Would you allow your staff to treat people that way?

The other thing that really surprises me is all the people that are sooooo mad at Best Buy about this whole fiasco and are not taking their business elsewhere, I personally would rather wait an extra month to get the phone at the carrier or manufacturer, then deal with all these lies and silence from a company that has proven that they don't value you as a customer, and treat you like the dirt on their shoe, Lie to your face because they believe keeping you in the dark will keep you as a customer. What are they doing to make you a happy customer, is it really worth all this drama to keep putting money in their pocket?

No wonder nonobagdog is a valued customer he spends his entire day on best buys forums defending the company more than their own employees do and hes not even getting paid for it! I'd value you your old grumpy a*s too
