Non Contract MiFi 2200 Intelligent Hotspot

I have the Mac Book Pro running Lion (10.7.2). My MiFi 2200 is plugged in by USB, and the device has a green power button, and a green Wifi button.

When I plug it in, I load up the VZAccessManager package, and it says this:

VZ Access Manager installation requires administrator privileges.

Please log in as a member of the administrator group to install. VZ Acess Manager must be run once in an adminstrative account. It can subsequently be run in a user acccount.

Help! Thank you so much!

Re: Non Contract MiFi 2200 Intelligent Hotspot

I am on the admin account, there is no other account, so I am not sure what it's saying.

I read online that it's saying this because I have Mac OS X Lion.

Even though you're on your "administrator" account you are still not actually authenticated as a superuser. You'll probably have to run a "su" or "sudo" command through the Terminal. Unfortunately I do not have any further instructions to suggest, but I would recommend you try calling Verizon tech support.
