I am very disappointed with how I am reading about how Best Buy plans to handle the preorder of the iphone 4s. I preorder because I will be unable to get to any store at opening to purchase my iphone. I shop at Best Buy frequently and also chose to make my purchases through you even when things are cheaper elsewhere. I believe you pay for the service you received. I understand it will be a hot item and store may not get much stock, but then whats the point of a preorder. Seriously, though if this is how they will handle it and I don't get my phone by Saturday, this will be the end of my regular shopping there. What upsets me the most is the fact there was no mention of this till 4:20 pm when there was an FAQ on these forums. I swear I try to convince my family that Best buy is where to go for their needs. This may be the end of a very positive relationship with a company i had nothing but respect for. I really don't know what else to say but so long.

Honestly, this is ridiculous. Why can't they just do it the same way as last year?
I am the 4th to preorder and will get it two weeks late? Yeah, that's bullsh*t. Oh, and no one mentioned this at the store when I preordered.
Thanks a lot, Best Buy.

I'm still kind of curious what Best Buy (as a collective whole, not as individual stores) is thinking they are offering with their "Pre-Order" that we would fail to achieve by pre-ordering from Apple or our carriers. Why give them our business if they can't even guarantee us a phone? Why choose them over Apple or Sprint/Verizon/AT&T?
Hmmmm, Best Buy? What is it that you're offering the consumer that should make us choose you?

Evidently nothing, but it's too late now. Apple and carriers are backed up 1-2 weeks.

I agree...this is becoming the most horrible experience ever for me. I preordered video games at Gamestop and never ran into this issue. Heck the Gamestop even had two lines set up, one for preorders and one for walk-ins. And their process went as smooth as can be.
If i would've known BB was doing a preorder like this, I would'vedefinately preordered from Sprint. But now I'm somewhat locked in because of Bestbuy's BS. But this is a learning experience for me, that I will never ever do again.
Now I have to get my folding chair ready and prepare myself for probably spending the night outside or inside the mall Thursday night.....
