I bought Galaxy Note in Best Buy store and sales agent only scanned the box for IMEI number.

I tried to return it today and to my surprise I found out that Phone IMEI # is different than box IMEI number.

I couldn't return it back and they are asking me to get a phone with box IMEI number.

Is it possible to track who has my box IMEI number? 

I do have only 1 more week to return this phone and I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me witht his?

Was the box sealed when you bought it?

I am not sure. Sales agent got it from inside. I didn't pay attention as I was so excited to get it on the first day and was alos watching my kid running around.

It really isnt that easy to track IMEI like that. If you purchased the phone and its in the system and the phone your returning has no defects there should be some kind of escalation you can get. Talk to the manager or call att give the imei on the box and ask if they can do some recon

I am going to ATT to get a confirmation.

I couldn't get data network so i took the phone to ATT store and sales rep actually opened back of the phone to update something to get my data network get going.

I will explain ATT and then get some information on the box IMEI #.
