Help me deal with PRP

I got a new phone (LG Neon TE365F) and got the PRP. I was dialing on the touch screen and the screen died, there are cracks in the LCD but not the top glass. Tell me what's the best way to get my phone replaced after they said it was physical damage.

Re: Help me deal with PRP

Do you have the contract (green) or GoPhone (black) version?

If you have the contract version, you have a GSBTP plan, not a PRP. It covers mfg. defects, dust, heat, humidity, power surge, and normal wear and tear. It also covers drops and spills not due to negligence or abuse. The phone will need to be sent out for repair, and in the unlikely circumstance that it cannot be repaired, it will be replaced with the same phone.

If you have the GoPhone version, your GSBTP-r plan covers mfg. defects, dust, heat, humidity, power surge, and normal wear and tear. It does not cover physical damage of any kind, so you'd be out of luck.

Re: Help me deal with PRP

You unfortunately are going to have to get a new phone - the PRP does not cover Accidental Damage from Handling like the regular GSBTP that Nokia is talking about.

I contacted my local store and they said that it's kinda up to the store. Some stores will be a little bit more sympathetic with your issue, but can't guarantee you anything.

Good Luck!

Re: Help me deal with PRP

If a store accepted a phone with physical damage, they'd be taking it as a loss.
