Did you not look at the link I just posted?
Yes we all saw it and it doesn't change the fact that the official release date is 10/06/09. Just because another carrier is shipping a device preloaded with WM 6.5 does not mean it has been released.

At the risk of getting flamed.... I think we're losing sight of the big question. When is the touch pro 2 going to be at Best Buy.
I haven't talked to my local store recently, but the last I heard from them was mid to late October (this month), so I'm waiting impatiently.
As far as a price drop... this interesting article came out on October 1 ![]()
Sprint's HTC Touch Pro2 Is NOT Getting a Price Cut
However, I still remain hopeful that if Sprint is giving the discount to Corporate Liable accounts, Best Buy will find a way to get a discount too... I mean, how will Best Buy ever be able to push the phone at $350 when they have the $200.00 version sitting right next to it. Yes, we've all heard the debate about the total cost of ownership over a 2 year plan with data and all that... and how Sprint saves you money on that front, but even if you save upwards of 300,500, or more over 2 years, it's hard for today's consumers to shell out an additional 150.00 today (I know... it doesn't make sense)

We don't even know that Best Buy will have a much better deal than whats already out there.

I'm with Nokia... last time I went through the whole rebate process with Sprint, it took them 6 months to send the check, and then it never came and I had to go through all kinds of hoops to get a replacement. All told, I was almost 12 months in before I got my rebate. I'll NEVER go through that process with Sprint again.
I'm actually leaning toward getting the Hero next week instead of waiting any longer for the Touch Pro2. Maybe if Sprint/Best Buy drops the price on the TP2, I'll add it as another line and snatch the $75.00 self referral credit.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can refer yourself.
