I look at it like this... The price will come down so patience pays off.

Yes, it's true that we won't have the latest greatest phone (it will be 2 or 3 months old), but in actuality, it's already more than 6 months old (it was released in Europe and even Canada before the U.S.).

Also, how many times have you purchased the phone as soon as it comes out only to find something completely annoying about it... try for months to solve the problem and go online and find out that EVERYBODY hates the same thing.  Now you're stuck with this phone for at least 12 months.  And you paid an arm and a leg for it (in this case 350 freakin' dollars).

I know it's no comfort... and everything I say is just rationalizations, but the price drop is a fact... so wouldn't you rather pay $200.00 for a phone you may or may not love for the next year instead of $350.00?

I'm in a tough spot personally.. My TP screen goes in and out for days at a time. I finally got it working to perform a backup so I can finally get rid of it. The issue is I don't know what to replace it with! I'm deciding bewteen sticking with what I know and has support WM or getting a HERO. I'm already a big fan and user of Android but everything I do is still stuck on WM namely Sling, Skype, and WMWifiRouter.

Now as for why BB doesn't have the TP2.. I think it comes down to two scenarios:

1.) They are waiting for the price drop.

or

2.) They are waiting on WM 6.5 tp be released 10/06/09.

Either way they're making me tired of waiting and wanting a HERO more and more.

I hear you, I had a razr with ATT and checked to see if it could swim in coffee, then I borrowed a generic motorola whose battery and screen went out, now I'm using an old Curve with the battery cover and batteries taped in and whose main menu seems to have multiple personalities, so I am desperate.

I hope the delay doesn't have to do with Sprint only selling TP2 to business customers.
