I was wondering if any one had info on the HTC Touch Pro 2 for sprint being released at best buy? Right now I'm trying to avoid the whole rebate thing because it is such a hassle. Not to mention that I do not even qualify for it! and 450.00$ is too much for a phone.

So does any one know the release date?

Can you pre order it?

will it be carried online?

will only some stores get it like at radi0 sh4ck?

I don't wanna step on what Nokia said, but I just called my local Best Buy (Lincoln, NE) and the BB Mobile rep confirmed that they would be carrying the Touch Pro 2.  He said he was almost positive they'd have it the same day as Sprint's launch, but he was not able to confirm it.  He also said that per Best Buy policy he couldn't provide the exact number of phone they'd be receiving for the launch.  Like I said, I don't wanna walk all over what Nokia said, so take it FWIW.  This could be incredibly YMMW.

Hmm, I wonder if that type of speculation, to provoke buyers interest, is part of company policy too.  Is there such thing as an honest salesman left in the world?

Right, I used to work retail, so I understand that reps might not be able to give specifics of a future launch, and Best Buy's policy may just be to tell people that Sprint is launching the phone on 9/8.  I would've been happy if the rep would've just told me that, but to be led on with uncconfirmed information seems a bit dishonest to me.  I'm not creating a huge fuss or anything, and I really hope Best Buy ends up carrying the phone, because I love the whole "no rebate" thing they've got going on.  Just saying...

I was told by the BB mobile manager that they were supposed to get the touch pro 2 when sprint released it, but for some reason they didnt' . He told me that they should have it by the end of the month but he was going to check with his sprint rep to make sure.  I'll post here what I find out from him.

MyBest Buy guy said they should get it the same time the Sprint Stores do, which is supposed to be by the end of September.
