HTC Evo 4G in the toilet!!!!!!

I just had a quick question for the moderators and the community.

My HTC Evo 4G was left submerged in the toilet of our downstairs bathroom overnight.

It won't even turn on and is just a mess.

(I have a 3 year old, and sometimes things end up in the toilet)

Anyway, I have an insurance plan through Best Buy that supposedly covers pretty much everything except lose or theft.

I just wanted to know if my situation if covered under the Best Buy plan.

Thanks.

No it won't be covered. Doesn't cover full water submersion unfortunately.

Re: HTC Evo 4G in the toilet!!!!!!

Seriously???

So I've basically been handing Best Buy $10.00 a month for nothing.

Awesome.

Thanks for the reply.

That is why carrier insurance is better, and covers LOST, Stolen & Crushed phones.

Re: HTC Evo 4G in the toilet!!!!!!

Spills and drops, cracked screens, hardware defects, normal wear and tear, dust heat humidity, power surge, a certain number of dead pixels, a battery replacement, a charger replacement.

Things it doesn't cover
Falls from extreme heights like decks and balconies/lots of stairs, out of windows
Full water submersion
loss
theft
run over by a vehicle, fell out of a vehicle or a plane or something
acts of god, aka a tornado ate it
negligence
misuse
secondary damage, aka your phone caught on fire and burned your table, no table coverage
virus's
software
using the item in a way the manufacturer didn't intend, like using your phone as a lightning rod
rodent infestation...
acts of terrorism
war
lightning
fire
and floods :smileyhappy:
