It seems the individual stores have nothing to do with the emails so its possible that these are all just automated and since Sprint doesnt offically sell the Sprint model then they're thinking stock is zero. Or Sprint phones are in such low number that not all stores are getting them at launch.
Either way, I cant wait for tomorrow because it seems the only true confirmation of availabilty is walking home with one.

Just a quick question, but where is everybody getting the idea that BB isn't getting many Sprint phones? Logic would dictate that a new service provider would make sure they can provide a new product to the masses -- not the other way around.

I got an email stating "your item is ready for pickup," but when I called the store they said that it was a glitch in the system, and that everyone got the same email (not sure if store or system wide). Either way as of a half an hour ago, the guy at the store I preordered at was in a meeting and the girl on the phone didn't think he had even gotten the list out yet.

I ordered the 16 GB white for sprint, and was the 3rd person to pre order but the first for the model I ordered. Im about to call to store to double check that they got it... and that it wasn't just a mass email.

So just called and talked to the mobile department, he was surprised that I got an email already and said they have recieved some of the shipments but not all of them, might get some more later tonight or even tomorrow morning and that he will start calling people to set up times to pick up their phones tonight.

I received a "Confirmation" email this morning. I called the store in the afternoon to see when they would be opening (8am), but the person I spoke to said just to come as early as possible- no appointments. THEN...! The store called my cell tonight and asked when I wanted to pick up my phone, so I said as early as possible. She said I'd be the first appointment, at 8am. AND she asked if we wanted some kind of screen protection. I asked for the Zagg smudge proof one, and she said it'll be 7.99 for installation. I said "YAYAYAY IPHONE 4S".
Just for reference, we preordered last Friday at 9:35 for 2 black AT&T 16g phones. There was only one person in line ahead of my bf when he got there. (we ordered at the Midtown Manhattan 45th &5th store).
