Hello Everyone,
I have had the same issues as everyone else and I have been going crazy trying to find a solution. Quite by accident, I happened upon Best Buy's Corporate Office snd address. I am passing it along so that if enough of us complain to Corporate, maybe we can get some answers about our phones.
Here is the info and good luck to all:
Best Buy Corporate Office Headquarters
7601 Penn Avenue
South Richfield, MN 55423

Very funny.. I am trying to help others while you choose to make a joke at my expense. Like my family always say, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

CrimsonRain has almost 1000 posts and they are all defending Bestbuy...hmmm. Maybe they can make an official comment on the situation since they clearly work for bestbuy?

I agree with you. Maybe they can provide us with information.

Sure! What kind of info could I help you with? Answers about your iPhones? Well, that is simple! If you have a pre-order, then Best Buy will call you as soon as it is ready. I think there is a lot of confusion regarding pre-orders because consumers don't quite understand how they work. Here's what a pre-order is: a guarantee that you will get your pre-ordered item before the walk-in customer. Here's what a pre-order is not: a guarentee that you will get your pre-ordered item on release day. Let's say you pre-ordered a black 32gb iPhone 4 and you are #7 on the pre-order list for that specific model. And the Best Buy store you pre-ordered from only received 5 of them. Then the 5 pre-orders ahead of you will get theirs first and you and #6 will have to wait until they get the next batch of black 32gb iPhone 4s. Getting angry at Best Buy or God forbid the Mobile sales associate will change nothing because they do not control when or what they receive especially with Apple products. Apple has a habit of doing drop shipments which means that they just drop off the items without notice. It's a corporate culture thing to drive sales and hype. Emailing Best Buy corporate will get you a verbatim response. Why? Because this happens every time there is a hot item release.
EmmitMonkey, I highly doubt you read through all 1000 of my posts so you shouldn't make a generalization. There's a difference between defending Best Buy and just knowing their policies. I just know a bit about their policies and am not a tool for hot item releases.

@CrimsonRain
I understand what you are talking about. However, Best Buy should know more about the deliveries they receive. Perhaps the Mobile Staff wouldn't know, but the Manager or General Manager should have the information and should be checking with Best Buy's distribution Center to find more information to give their customers. As for me, I am going to switch to AT&T temporarily to get my hands on an iphone 4s until Sprint comes through with the stock (64GB) and cash in my Best Buy gift cards with www.plasticjungle.com. So, either way, I will be set. I wish good luck to everybody during this time of frustraction.

I wish they would too but that's just one of the downsides to dealing with Apple. This happened even with the iPads where Apple just dropped shipments to Best Buy stores. Best Buy can't do anything about it because they need the Apple products (high margin) so they'll play by Apple's rules. Apple knows consumers will buy the products regardless. As far as I know, Best Buy's distribution centers do not receive or send the Apple products when they are still hot items. Apple sends them directly to the stores randomly.
