BestBuy.com online mobile order

What a joke ordering my HTC Hero from BestBuy.com has been (and continues to be) - is there ANYONE associated with Best Buy who can help me, since I can't get any answers from anyone from this Simplexity company? I was originally told it would take 12 hours for my order to process and then ship... well, it's now almost 5 days later and I still can't get any answers about what is going on with my order. Can ANYONE help? If I would've known that ordering from BestBuy.com wasn't REALLY ordering from Best Buy, I never would've bothered (and definitely don't plan to in the future). The folks at my local Best Buy store couldn't even give me any advice on what to do to get answers (although they tried to be helpful). This definitely does NOT reflect well on Best Buy as a company, since I bought from BestBuy.com (or at least thought I did - but I guess you have to eventually receive a good or service to consider something a transaction, so who knows??)

I had considered ordering my phone online but after reading through the TOS and encountering frustrations in getting simple questions answered I bagged on that idea. Additionally the automatic upsell into uneeded extra minutes and features was unacceptable. No way I would deal with them after a lack of response to simple questions, etc.

 

Sorry to hear of your problems. I simply went ahead and took advantage of AT&T's Monday $.01 sale and got my new Sony Ericcson C905a before noon Tuesday with no muss nor fuss.

I just can't believe Best Buy is 'OK' with being represented by another company in this way. When I went into the local store Wed, they said that they had had many people stopping in the store to ask the same thing (if you have the phone in stock here, why can't I just pick it up here?) and complain. What surprises me is that, if they really had that many people asking the same question over and over, wouldn't you try a little harder to find out what the answer was, and how you could assist these people if more like me came in with the same questions/concerns? It's like Best Buy has an easy out - sorry, it's not our company, so even though you bought from BestBuy.com we can't and won't help you, good luck trying to deal with them on this. By the way, just checked the www.whereismyorder.com page again this morning, as the rep I chatted with yesterday promised me it would ship within 12 hours after I chatted with him (it's now 18 hours later) - still nothing. That's three flat-out PROMISES that have now been broken. When I asked today how I could cancel my order the response in the chat I keep getting is 'please don't cancel, please be patient, we promise it will ship today' and even after asking four separate times during the chat how to cancel my order they won't even tell me. What a joke.

Sounds like a stall for an item not instock perhaps? Assuming you paid with a debit or credit card have you contacted the card sponsor to revoke the purchase? It might prod them if nothing else. Just a thought.

Wow, someone last night promised I'd have it by tonight (Fri) and I believed them, then when I asked for a tracking number today they admitted that person lied to me. Now I'm being 'promised' I'll have it by Tuesday.

The cell phone sales part of Best Buy com is not a Best Buy company. Sorry you are having so much trouble. Just call them back and be persistant that you want to cancel the order. Let your wife call or whoever but you cannot take no for an answer. That is the only way it will happen. There are several of us on here that had you asked before you bought, we would have warned you. It is what it is. We are under contract or something. It is going to become a Best Buy com company real soon.

Yeah, my experience Best Buy Dot Com Mobile was aweful!!! First I ordered the phone on Black Friday thinking I was getting a deal.  I admit, I made a mistake and didn't see that the "free phone" was only if you were activating a new phone.  I called after receiving the e-mail regarding the price of the phone, I called and told them it was okay to charge me the $50 for the new phone because, at the time, it was a better deal than what Verizon had.  I received the phone just over a week later and found out according to the paperwork that they opened a new contract complete with a new phone number.  I called the phone number I was given and spoke with some lady who did not speak a lick of English about my problem.  After not being able to understand her, I originally said that I wanted to just send my order back.  She, I thought anyway, told me it would be fixed, she put me on hold and told me to wait two hours and it should be fixed.  I waited more than two hours, tried to activate my phone and it was activiated with that other phone number that was opened for me that I didn't authorize. 

 

I went to a Best Buy store by my house today (Sunday) and they told me they couldn't really help me because the "dot com" is seperate.  So, I have to call the non english speaking people back and hope they are able to take care of it without doing more damage!! Luckily, I have 30 days to cancel that contract through Verizon.  The Best Buy store people tell me they have all kinds of problems with the mobile dot com orders.  Seriously, why would Best Buy have anything to do with this so called company to host their online phone orders. 

 

Are all Best Buy dot com orders seperate from the actual store? If so, I don't think I will ever order online from Best Buy again.  I'm thinking I may never order anything from Best Buy again.

Same problem here.  Ordered the phones on cyber Monday, still waiting.  The other two phones I ordered (upgraded all the phones on the account) were shipped promptly, but the HTC Heroes are still MIA.  Then I got the following email:
