Here's the dilemma I purchased a phone at best buy online a HTC hero and I just lost the phone but im afraid to report because I saw somewhere on the terms and conditions that o would need to be with the phone for 6 months before changing otherwise the plan or phone. What should I do? I could easily go on cvraigslist and buy a cheap phone o hold me off till I get money to buy another hero

That is actually a separate company called Simplexity that has no affiliation with BB. You'll have to contact them.

The contract sales dept. for online BBYM is in fact Simplexity. They will charge you $250 for changing your plan. They get commission on the plans they set up and they have to stay in place for at least 6 months before you change them or you'll get a mysterious bill from your 'carrier' for changing your plan. They consider it a breech of contract if you deter from the plan set by them.
As far as your lost phone - I'm so sorry to hear that!! Craigs is pretty decent idea but be careful. As far as the issue with the ongoing plan - you may want to call Sprint and tell them you want to suspend the line of service. They charge you like.. 9 bucks vs. the full line price. That shouldn't affect your 6 month probation with them.
