thanks for your help - iPhone user jumping to Verizon mostly for the coverage (bad in Nebraska for AT&T if you go off the interstate) Moderately techie - and felt really stupid for swapping out a good phone for one that is worse. Feel like I should know better. Going to take a whole load of crap from my IT buddies when I show up w/ a different phone again
but just didn't want to be doing something that wasn't legit. Need something that I can get my email and be away from an electrical outlet for more than 5 hours
Eris doesn't seem to allow for that.

There are serveral good phones out there! If you are wanting a smartphone with good battery life, check out the Blackberrys. They are known for having good battery life, among the cell phone market. Also, make sure to check out and comment on the forums on Best Buy Mobile!

Okay, I returned an LGVU 920 Monday as it was not satisfactory in terms of performance and utility.
How long does it take for BB and AT&T to get their acts together so that I can go back and get another make and model cellphone?
AT&T claims BB has not posted the turnin but when I was in the store the sales rep went through the full routine with AT&T while I was listening and of course I was given a receipt so stating.

You said you wanted to wait another month or two, though. If there was a phone you wanted right now, you could've just done an exchange.
Right now, it's all up to ATT. They have to acknowledge the no-install.

Yes that is so, I dod NOT do an exhnage as they hadn't a particular phone in the color I wanted in the store nor did they have and second choice in stock either, therefore a return not and exchange.

Upgrade reinstated today after calling my local BB store where the mobile rep called AT&T and go it done!!
Excellent customer service from BB folks!

3 Returns ?? I'm a really picky person, guess that's just my personality. I signed up for Sprint with the HTC Hero last week. I really really want to like this phone. But using a virtual keyboard on a not -so-responsive touch screen is getting annoying already. Plus there is a dead pixil on the screen. The build quality and signal strenght is STELLAR though.
I don't want a BB as I have one at work, no sense in that. The only other thing I would get at BB is the Pre... how are those?? I've heard great things, then I've also heard bad things -as in people go through 3 or 4 of them until they find one that works. That's the only thing I'm worried about.
