I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000-1bd amp. When it turns on there is a very very high pitch noise coming from it like that of a dog whistle . the gain doesnt change anything nor changing the volume. I even disconnected my speakers and still the noise happens. It will go away after awhile of it running, like 20 mintues. does anyone know what the problem could be? it is very annoying

The noise is coming from inside the amp itself? If that is the case, I would guess (a complete guess) that it could be a capacitor in the amp going/is bad. I don't work on the internals of the amps at all, but I have heard some capacitors making a high pitched noise when they are going out (this is usually followed at some point by the nasty stuff inside coming out) and you might have one or more that is doing the same thing. I would take the amp in to have it serviced/checked out if it were mine.
