Re: stolen faceplate problem

I think you have to call Kenwood direct and have the original receipt.  But an employee would be able to better answer this.

Hey glenderson,

Welcome to the forum!

I'm sorry to hear about your theft.  While Best Buy does not carry stereo parts like this, I am happy to report that it is available through Kenwood directly.  At this time it is listed for $85, which is most likely far and away better than replacing the entire deck as far as parts and labor go.

Kenwood lists the part number as TDF-113D.  Click the model number to be routed to the Kenwood online store to place your order.

Cheers!

Re: stolen faceplate problem

Mike is correct that it is available through Kenwood directly and when you compare $85 to $129 for a replacement unit, it is definitely cheaper to just replace that part.  One thing you might want to do before you order a replacement faceplate is to check and make sure none of the tabs or springs on the main unit that actually hold the faceplate are broken....I often see a broken tab in those kinds of thefts and at that point the new faceplate won't help since it won't stay on and you would need to replace the entire unit.
