hi, i bought a garmin nuvi 50 during my xmas vacation on orlando. i returned to brazil and it doesn't work here.

the attendent who helped me chosing the gps, didn't advised me about usb cable or maps.

how can you help me? how can i buy them so i can use the gps properly here in brazi.

You might want to ask Garmin for a quicker answer.

Just had a look at the Garmin website.... it doesn't mention South America as an available model.  Personally I've been looking for device to use in China.

If you Google "Garmin Brazil", you'll see a "City Navigator" product.  But it's unclear if it works with the Nuvi.  Again contact Garmin for more specific details.

According to Garmin's website the City Navigator South America NT is available for use on the Nuvi 50 and is available as a download or as an sd card.  You would either have to get a micro sd card that is big enough for the download or order their pre-setup micro sd card in order to load the maps.  Click here for the page on Garmin's site.
