I have a vehicle that I had Geek Squad install an overhead monitor and DVD player in and recently purchased a new vehicle. If I wanted to have that equipment removed from the previous vehicle and installed in the new one, what would I be charged? Thanks

Those units don't actually qualify for the free removal Crystal. The free services only applies to removal of equipment that replaced existing factory equipment and also requires (among other things) that the vehicle not have been modified for its installation. That typically limits the free un-installation and factory re-installation service to a head unit and 4 speakers. Overhead DVD players almost always require cutting some sort of hole into the headliner of the vehicle itself, so while we CAN remove it and install it into a different vehicle....it would cost to remove it AND to have it re-installed into another vehicle. I think most of us typically don't recommend it unless you are scrapping the vehicle due to the hole that is left in the headliner after removal. You will want to check with your local store for removal pricing and also let them know what you would want to have it re-installed into so they can get you an estimate on that pricing as well. I always recommend checking with a dealership (or other shop) to see the pricing on headliner replacement to fix the hole if you are trading or selling the vehicle as well so that you can determine if it is worth it to have it removed or if it is more cost effective to just get a new unit.

LOL...you probably shouldn't reply to posts you obviously know nothing about....believe me, it was FAR from free to have it installed (and yes, it was at BB) and I wouldn't expect the reinstallation to be free either...guess I can't complain about your input though, since it WAS free....LOL.....anyway, thanks autotech....that's what I figured and while I did find a much better deal on a prefessional installation (and un-installation), I did decide it was best just to go with new & improved equipment and leave the old vehicle alone

Indeed it does make more sense that way. I do know that some stores have adopted that view of the un-install policy, but that is not the official policy....it is only at those specific stores. There has always been a lot of confusion about what is included and what isn't.
The official policy is printed on the back of the installation work orders and I will post the breakdown below as an FYI.
Things that are removed (and factory equipment reinstalled) for free:
NOTE: The original installation invoice is required to qualify for free removal or warranty work.
Head units that replaced a factory head unit and did not require dash or wire modification.
Speakers that replaced factory speakers in original locations that did not require panel or wire modification.
Things that are not included in the free removal:
NOTE:This list is not all inclusive...I am sure that there are things that I cannot think of right now.
Any security or convenience system (keyless entry, alarm, remote start)
Any amplifier
GPS or radar detector (when hardwired)
Satellite radio
Any non in dash mobile video system (in dash systems are considered head units and are subject to rules above)
Any head unit that required custom dash or wire modification
Any bluetooth system (usually shops will remove the additional adapters when removing a head unit)
Ipod adapters (usually shops will remove the additional adapters when removing a head unit)
