 i drive a 1996 toyota 4runner v6 3.4 liter and i was thinking about buying the viper remote start 5301 for 300$ and i noticed it said extra labor and parts may be reguired and how much that would be for my type of vechicle?i also wanted to know is if i just bought one from a friend or off of ebay, how much it would cost just to have it installed? and alos it syas smart start compatiable does this mean i have to buy another piece to use it or its already ready all i need is to download the app?

The only extra parts I can see listed for that particular vehicle would be the hood tilt switch, but it is always best to check with the Autotechs that are going to be doing the install.  Different shops have different policies for 3rd party alarms, so that would be a question for your local store as well.  The 5301 is Smart Start compatible, but it isn't included with the system....it does require an extra module and subscription plan to use it with the app.
