I have a 2004 Grand Prix GT2, and from things I have read, only certain audio equipment is compatible with the receiver. That being the "Monsoon" audio system. Does that mean that in order to replace speakers, I have to replace the receiver, amplifier, and sub woofers as well?

I'd call the local best buy autotechs about this one, just because in some cars with the monsoon system we have a harness available to accomodate a new stereo. Speakers are a different story. Sometimes if you take out factory speakers they are actually a lower or higher impedance [8 ohm, 3 ohm, 2 ohm] from what i've seen. Again check with your installers to make sure what you buy can be put it. Worst case senario you can get everything rewired and get the internal amps bypassed - thats around $300 on average...
