Hello and thanks in advance for your help.
I have a 2006 Rendezvous that I would like hardwired into the factory radio. It has a 6 disc changer but no Monsoon enhanced system. What options do I have? Thanks!

Hi Pbober,
If you want to hardwire your ipod into your car, I'd really recommend stopping at your nearest Best Buy and talking to the install bay techs. I think there are a couple of options on where to put the aux connection and I'd hate to steer you in the wrong direction. Talking to the tech will be the best route to take.
Thank you,

you can buy a buick iPod interface for your vehicle
this will plug into the factory xm tunner there is no need to remove the radio and the
ipod will show up in the xm2 , look for CAT or BAND button on the factory radio

The Isimple is a great option in my opinion they have ones that will give you full control for that vehicle meaning you can control your ipod or iphone from your radio but in doing that you lose your 6 disc cd changer. there is the isimple basic control where you will have the choice of the ipod cable or AUX port put in but you will still have to control the songs through your ipod or iphone. there is also the choice of replacing your factory radio with an aftermarket one

cd changer will keep working with the correct interface

Don’t replace the radio in a Buick, the dash kits are not pretty and the body control module needs the factory radio
PIE makes an iPod interface that works on XM2 and you can still receive xm signal on xm1 you don't lose any function from the factory radio
because the iPod adapter will be using the satellite controls and not the cd changer controls, losing the cd player makes no sense
us this kit and everything else will keep working the same way Buick iPod adapter
