I bought a Pioneer DEH-1300MP stereo for my friend's car the other day. Bought the wireharness for the radio(not the 6 disk cd player that's a seperate unit) and the dash installation kit. Everything fit great, all the wires matched up perfectly(unlike the sony head unit I bought for my own car). My only problem is that before we reassembled the dash we turned the car on to make sure the radio worked and it didn't even power on. I double checked all the wires and I made sure there was a solid ground. But still it wouldn't turn on. Anybody have any ideas as to why? Also, the antenna needed an adapter that I didn't have so we left that unattached. I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not. Please help.

some cheap radio harness don't have a ground wire and you have to use the big heavy ground that was on the back of the radio with the screw
if not check both fuse boxes
good luck
