any of the stereos that you will buy must have steering wheel compatiblilty. pioneer and kenwood are going to be my choices for a stereo. with these radios you will need an adapter that will allow you to retain your steering wheel controls, the radio will not have them built in. the adapter is roughly $109.99. if Best Buy is doing the installation you will have a deck install of 59.99 and a steering wheel control install of 59.99 also. contact your local best buy installer for any questions or concerns. hope this helps!

dougert7,
I had the same problem when helping customers who want steering wheel controls! the specs for the steering wheel controls are not going to be listed under the specifications. if the radio is steering wheel compatible it will be listed on the first page under overview all the way at the bottom (for most radios descriptions).
As far as one being better than the other, that is up to you, here are the big differences between the radios today.
front usb (with/without)
hd radio (with/without)
bluetooth(with/without)
display (multiple colors, or one set color)
those are some of the major differences in prices that you will see. just remember that if you see anything that say "ready" then you will need an adapter to get it to function. if it says "built-in" then it will come with whatever it is saying is built-in. if you have any further questions contact me at 515-224-9207 ext:2241!

I personally would stick with a kenwood they are really the only brand that has stayed reliably good the last few years. If your looking for just basic kenwood the kdc352u is a good unit, and is steering wheel control compatible. However, you may want to look into digital receivers(no cd player) vibration would most likely cause the cd to skip especially if it is mounted on the front fairing. With a digital receiver you can load all of your tunes on a flash drive/ipod and soon to be droid and blackberry.
This is a digital media receiver

Enjoy your favorite music while you're on the go with this in-dash deck that is compatible with Apple iPod and iPhone® and features a rear camera input for easy connection to a camera.
