AV Input Issue on Kenwood DDX-418

I recently had my Kenwood stereo installed (ddx-418) and the av input feature does not work. I cant even select av-in as an input option because it is darkened/blacked out in settings. Has anyone has this same issue? Is this relate to the installation or is there a setting I am missing that is causing my unit to not recognize the av input.

Thanks!

Re: AV Input Issue on Kenwood DDX-418

Hi grandam,

Sorry to hear the system isn't working exactly right. I would take it back in and have the install bay tech take a look at what's going on. They will be able to better answer the problem of av in that isn't working properly.

Thank you,

Put your head unit in standby mode and then go to settings and you should be able to select av-in under the input menu.

^^^ yeppers, the key with kenwood is to switch the source to standby and then it will open up a whole bunch of different menu settings that weren't there before.  good call jedmann1989!!!
