I'm looking for a 5.1 channel receiver with preamp outputs. I wish to use the amplifier section to power the center and rear speakers only. I have a number of high powered amps to power the front & bass speakers.  I purchased a Yamaha RX V665BL receiver only to find out in the manual that you can't use the pre outs and the amplifier section at the same time. I now have an old Yamaha 5.1 channel receiver which does allow both pre outs and amplifier sections to be used at the same time. I'd like to upgrade to take advantage of the sound in Blu-Ray discs. Is there a reasonable priced 5.1 receiver out there which would fit my needs?  Thank you!

Sorry this is so late and I am sure you have purchased something by now but ,Not sure what you mean by reasonable price but the Denon 889 or 890 and the 990 will both fit your needs but your going to spend around a $1000 on either one of them.
