Hello. I have a 2008 Toyota Sienna LE. I have several pieces of equipment to have installed. Head unit, component speakers in front, coaxial speakers in rear, 4 channel amp and powered sub. I have all the wiring I need. Amp will fit nicely under the driver's seat (checked clearance). Head unit will connect to an existing Alpine overhed DVD unit (wiring all there...last head unit crapped out). My concern is having someone go through the firewall. I don't want an unecessary hole added that may corrode over time or a drill that goes through something important. Can you help apease me that one of your techs won't go nuts with a drill? I would have the install done in Menomonee Falls, WI or Grafton, WI.
Thank you.

Hi FamilyTrip,
I can appreciate your concern in having the firewall drilled into. Have you talked this over with the lead Install Bay Technician? Anytime we have a concern like this, I always think it's better to address it now before the drilling starts. Good move on your part. I say talk to the Tech first.
Hope this helps!

I do agree that speaking with the Autotech that will be performing the work is recommended. Most Autotechs will take the time to triple check before drilling and some will try utilizing an existing gromet at all cost before attmepting to drill. Any drilled hole gets a coating of silicone to prevent any corrosion and sealed to prevent leaks.

As an Autotech I will tell you it is very simple to run the power wire thru the firewall. All of my power wires have been ran and the hole sealed with clear silicone. This is not just my way but is a part of our sop for these installs. The best way we can ease your concern is if you just come in and talk to us.
