I am trying to remove my factory stereo and I cant pull it out because of a wire/cord. I believe it is just a security cord but not sure if i should snip it or not. It is very thin but about half an inch wide. 

Any info will help.

I'm always a little leary on snipping wires. I'd recommend that you stop in and talk to one of the Install Bay techs and get their opinion. Good luck!

That cable is a ground strap. It will either be held on to the chassis of the radio by a 1/4" female connector or a 10mm bolt. Simply unbolt/unclip and radio will come right out.
