Generally tax exempt status is only granted to charities/groups or the like. I try to check out the AAFES site as they sometimes have some good deals with some manufacturer's.
That does raise the question in my mind too of how we would go about price matching someone who doesn't charge tax.... but then, the tax wouldn't be factored into the price match anyway.
If you like my post, or solution to your issue/question, go ahead and click on the little star by my name and/or accept the post as the Solution. It makes me happy.
I'm NOT an employee of Best Buy, or Geek Squad, none of my advice is to be taken as the official stance that Best Buy will take on your situation. My advice is just that, advice.
Unfortunately, that's the bad luck of any electronic, there's going to be bad Apples... wait that's a horrible pun.

A weird thing is that BB will not price match the Navy Exchange, But the Navy Exchange will price match BB.
BB says they do not price match the Navy Exchange because there is no sales tax.

Thats Weird because they do not add tax into the price of the item until the time of purchase<at the register>.

i use to work at a navy exchange store.
by comparison, the navy exchange store has far less available option than best buy. they generally have around 15-20 models of computers, and 20 models of TV. however, best buy overs more than 50 models of computers and more than 100 models of TV

The BX/PX is as exclusive as a Sams Club in a way, according to the price match policy they can't match prices with those forms of businesses.
