Recently our son returned from Afghanistan and was reassigned to the United Kingdom. He asked me to send him a power cord for his navigation unit that he lost. We did so to the tune of $40 and sent it to him. It took three weeks to get there, it didn't work (plug didn't fit), and took three weeks to get back. A refund or store credit was refused because it was over the 30 day return policy. Suggest that the military folks look for a more reputable, and flexible, company to purchase electronics from. Best Buy isn't it.

I have never had this issue; however, I can see when this problem could arise. I would like to see Best Buy extend their return policy to APO/FPO address to 45 days for military members. In addition they could even create a Military Members Program that you could sign up for via e-mail, mail, or in person which would give you the granted 45 days return policy automatically. I am a Silver Premier Member and as a benefit I get 45 days to return my items, why not do this for all military members, especially for those of us serving overseas.

Thanks. I just submitted this to the ideaX forum. Hopefully something gets done so those of us in the military have an opportunity to return items easier while overseas.
