Large LCD TV's

Has anyone ever had a large LCD TV shipped to them with an APO address? If you have, was there any damage to the TV? I want to purchase one, but I am little worried that the TV will get damaged with the shipping.

I have not had any problems having electronics shipped via USPS APO.  The problem that you will have though is that there are restrictions on shipping to your APO box.  The are:

 

  • Packages may not exceed 70 lbs. (Some zip codes have lower limits)
  • Packages may not exceed 130 inches in combined length and girth. (This means if you have a package that is 100" in length and 40" when you measure around it, you cannot send the item)
I'm on my third overseas tour and from experience I can tell you that if you are in Europe your best, or maybe only, option is using the your BX/PX.
