How are items packaged for shipment to military addresses? I didn't see an option for extra insurance on the shipment, and I want to send a friend who's deployed an X-box. However, I'm nervous about the handling it will receive on the way there.  Any answers would be appreciated!

If you get the extra warranty, it will cover damage during the shipment. I had my PS3 shipped from Best Buy to Turkey and it arrived here just fine. The box was in good shape and packed well. Hope this helps. I would call Best Buy customer service to ask if they cover shipping incidents though.

Shipping to APO/FPO can go really well or suck like in my case!!! Take at your own risk...oh if it sucks...you will have to call at least 3 different mail services and still not find out anything!!

Just for future customers, the protection plan on ps3's does NOT cover accidental damage and as such, would not cover shipping damage.
