My attraction to technology started later in life than normal. I grew up in a very rural part of Southern Minnesota where opportunities of integrating technology are hard. (For context reasons, my parents just got off of dial-up a little over a year ago for Pete’s sake.) It started with my first smartphone, which was a BlackBerry Pearl. It amazed me to have the ability to connect via Facebook from where ever I was.
Please don’t fret over my early love of my BlackBerry! I jumped on the Apple bandwagon in 2012, and I love my iPhone 6 and my iPad. They allow me to keep in touch with my family and friends via Facebook and Instagram. My favorite app is Pinterest, which feeds my needs for creativity and beautiful things in my life. Streaming is also huge part of my life. Hulu and Netflix both happen daily, and I approximately co-own over 800 movies on iTunes.
I’ve been with Best Buy since the Holiday season of 2014. During that time I found out very fast where my niche was; I just plainly love helping others!
My true love affair with technology started in March of 2015 when I transitioned to our chat team, working in both Home Theater and Appliances. It was like I was sponge, and I just absorbed all the information I could. I fell head over heels in love with everything TV related, especially streaming devices!
It was my love of helping others, and new found knowledge that led me here to the Social Media team. I’m excited to be a part this nerd herd that appreciates the good things in life: Disney and superheroes; but doesn’t judge me when I go on and on about 4K.
