As a mom, wife and professional, I truly appreciate and value today’s technology, and honestly… I don’t know how I could live without it! I love watching technology evolve to make our lives easier. My smartphone allows me to stay on track with everything going on at work and home. I worked for a Swedish company for 5 years and traveled frequently so my laptop was my most important work tool to communicate with our main office in Stockholm, our distributors in Latin America and my family at home. My birthday gift a couple of years ago was an Xbox Kinect, so now we have 2 consoles at home and they are constantly in use either to watch our favorite TV shows or movies on Netflix, dancing to Dance Central or playing the latest and greatest version of Battlefield.  

 

I’ve worked in the technology industry for 11 years and I fell into Social Media by accident when I adopted my puppy Bassett Hound, George. My shoe collection was seriously suffering so I was desperate to learn more about the breed’s behavior to try to get rid of his bad habits. I quickly became addicted to forums because I found so much information that people are willing to share. I studied in Mexico for about 6 years where most of my family lives, so Facebook keeps me connected with them and friends I have not seen or spoken to in years.  I am a huge Twitter fan because between my work and helping my husband manage a household of 6, it helps me quickly catch up on what’s happening in the world.

 

I started with Best Buy in 2011 as a Bilingual Consumer Relations agent. Best Buy has always been one of my favorite retail stores so it’s truly amazing to have the opportunity to work for a Company that not only fulfills my passion for technology but also, as I discovered shortly after my first day here, has great values and employee culture. I am super excited to be part of the Social Media team. I’m looking forward to connecting with our customers here in the forums!
