Frist sorry about my spelling i am from Mexico.  As i am close to the border its common to buy in usa.  In january buy a mac book and the 15 sept star give me problem shock .  i take the mac book to apple store in san antonio and dont like the services provide in apple store with the "Genius" so i return to Mcallen Texas and arive 8 pm so the store was closing and told about i have to return to Mexico, The Geek Squad help me to leave my mac book buy ion the same store, i have to say the servies in the geek squad was far away better than the Genius apple store in San antonio,,, So i have some question i aprecitated if can help me.  1  In Geek Squad web page cant see information about the status of my mac book 2. can i post the numer of tracking that geek squad give me? 3. the mac book has 10 montha seen i buy will be repari in best buy instalation ? or will be send direct to apple to fixed?  4. how many days will i need to wait until the unit is repair? sorry but is i told was 8 pm and the store was close when i arrive so i cant have time to ask all this thing to the guy was help me thanks!

Hi there and welcome to the Community!

To answer your questions:

1. Sometimes the website does not report the status on certain repairs, I apologize.

2. You cannot post it but a Community Connector may be in contact in the next couple of business days to lookup and track the repair for you.

3. The Macbook will be repaired by Apple Certified Technicians in a Best Buy Service Center unless they are unable to repair the unit, then it will be sent to Apple.

4. The average repair time is 14 to 21 days or 2 to 3 weeks.

Thanks for your ansewered, i iget 3 more moths in the warrenty for one year warrenty buy in january if i only left 3 more moths what happens if it fail again for the same error i have right know? i means i know is one year but it is a antecedent of a error ? thw warrenty will be more? i means one year in the repair? or not? the comunitary will be in contact to me? in this forum? or by mail?  if cant repair send to apple how long takes? more than 2 - 3 weeks?  so i will pay nothing? right about the warrenty? or  not? and for last it will be posible to change the mac book? if cant repair? or no? thanks for you patience

You're welcome! They will contact you here, on this forum. If the same problem or a different one occurs outside of the manufacturer's warranty, any repairs would be paid for by the customer. If the unit needs to be sent to Apple, it could add a week or so to the repair time.

hi thanks again!!!  one last question hope so  what happen if cant repair the macbook? i mean what happen if best buy geek squad send to apple and cant repair? it posible? what happend with my files? in hard disk? thank and thanks again for your patience? how about my spelling is good?

If the unit cannot be repaired, the unit would be replaced. If the files were not backed up before servicing, you may have to pay for data recovery at the service center. If the unit is replaced, I urge you to ask them about data recovery.
