I have a couple of questions that I have been looking for an answer to on both the Best Buy and Geek Squad websites. I have a Sony Vaio laptop that has a broken screen and wireless switch. I purchased the black tie protection for it. What do I have to do to get it repaired? Are those repairs covered? Where do I take it, or do I have to send it in? How long will repairs take?

how do I tell if my plan covers accidental damage? The sales gal said that if I purchased this plan it would cover a broken screen, but that dosent mean she sold me that plan or it covers accidental damage. I have my receipt still.

300 to 600 bucks? I could buy a NEW laptop for that. I see replaceent screens on various websites for sale for less than a hundred dollars. This is fraud and extortion. Get me for a plan that the cashier says covers the repair, then wanna charge what the stupid thing cost in the first place to repair it. Im calling the store in the morning, if they don't tell me something a little more reasonable then that, Im gonna file a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I chose to puchase from Best Buy because their adds mislead me into thinking they actually care about customers. Nope they just care about making another buck off of another sucker. Well they succeeded. No wonder best buy hasn't folded like circuit city, circuit city probably honored their warrantys.
