I ve been patiently waitn 4 over 2 weeks now...supposively some1 was researchn the date when i purchased my toshiba..polaris..columbus oh march 28th..2010...huge sale...I need 1` person to just look at there inventory ..etc list...I purchased the xcomputer on the 28th..A nice young man named John sold me trhe computer at t there Clearance Satellite..64 bit for $488.00 plus the 2 year extended warranty for 149 bucks totalling \@687.00 n change...
You have to have an inventiory n it should tell u what the computer sold/priced on that date... I bought it bc the price was right n I previous ly purchased a compaq at best buy several years b4 n bout the extended warranty. JOHN who gave the extended warranty folder etc didnt follow thru w/getting the code.. The cashier had to get a manager bc she didnt know how to ring it up w.o taxes because I purchased for my job/SCHOOL...In order to tax exempt, they totalled it...The NEW RUDE MANAGER didnt /wouldnt take the time to look...I was tryn to find the WEEKLY flyer LAPTOP CLOSEOUT Flyer online archived somewhere...BESTBUY has always had, "IN STORE SPECIAL SALE PURCHASE!" I looked at the huge laptops u had on sale for under 700 bucks but chose not to buy that one bc I COULD GET THE EXTENDED WARRANTY, n LAPTOP FOR UNDER ) BUCKS. IM STILL WAITN FOR ASSISTANCE!
SHOPPERS, I use 2 praise this store, loved there warranties on there products n made others get the 2 year extended warranty b.c it was a great deal...to even have some1 look at ur laptop its a 100 bucks...
CANT LOCATE THE RESPONSE NOR THE THREAD REGARDN THIS INCIDENT. IM AN EDUCATOR OF SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENTS FOR 28 YEARS N WHEN JOHN TOLD ME EVERYTHING WAS SET, I TRUSTED THEM, FOR I NEVER HAD A REASON NOT TOO. I EVEN EXCHANGED THE 1ST TOSHIBA B/C THE LAPTOPBCRASHED THE 1ST WEEK DUE TO FAILED INSTALLATIONS OF PROGRAMS. THEY JUST EXCHANGED IT..NO PROBLEMS...SAME COMPUTER MODEL....
NOW BECAUSE I CANT GET 1 PERSON TO RESEARCH N VERIFY THAT MY CHECK i WROTE THEM WHICH STATES 488 PLUS 2 YEAR WARRANTY...ON MARCH 28, 2010...DOESNT SEEM LIKE A HARD TASK TO ASK..YOU HAVE RECORDS, INVENTORY, SHOULD HAVE THE PRICES THAT TOSHIBA MODEL I HAVE SOLD FOR ON THAT DATE...IF NOT? THEN ....HOW R U ABLE TO KEEP TRACK OF MERCHANDISE IN N OUT? AND....YOU HAVE TO PAY INVENTORY TAXES...SOOOOO? IF THERES NO RECORD THEN HOW ARE YOU KEEPN AN ACCURATE INVENTORY AND KNOW THAT UNCLE SAM IS BEING PAID BY YOUR COMPANY APPROPRIATELY?
THIS IS BAD BUSINESS.....I PAID 4 AN EXTENDED WARRANTY....2 YEARS...I CANT BELIEVE NO ONE..N THE PERSON ASSIGNED HASNT FOLLOWED UP....
IM CLEARLY GOING TO LET PEOPLE KNOW NOT TO BUY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY NOR BELIEVE THAT YOUR MANAGER WHO REPRESENTS UR COMPANY CARES...SOMEONES GOTTA FO THE RIGHT THING....
IM FRUSTRATED, N HAVE TOLD MY STUDENTS TO TAKE A STAND FOR WHATS RIGHT. CONSUMER BEWARE.....I NEVER THOUGHT AFTER ALL THE BUSINESS I BROUGHT TO BEST BUY,,HOW I PRAISED THEM...NOW WILL WARN CONSUMERS....FRAUDULANT....
TEACHN 28 YEARS IN THE COMMUNITY...I KNOW ALOT OF GOOD PEOPLE...N THIS ECONOMY, NO ONE DESERVES TO BE RIPPED OFF....SEVERAL NEWSPAPERS N THE TELEVISION//NEWS THINK THIS IS A GREAT STORY...SO THAT CONSUMERS WONT GET RIPPED...LIKE I DID...IM ALSO REPORTN U TO BETTER BUSINESS BURESU, ATTORNEY GENERAL AND IM SURE THE IRS WILL FIND THIS INTERESTING AS WELL....SHOULD BE A PRETTY SIMPLE FIX TO STRAIGHTEN THIS OUT WITH ME...CLEARLY, appears to be a huge issue of peoiple payn for extended warranties n ur company or reps r not trained so ur companys gettn the extra money n no service is being rendered...n u have a history all over the internet of scamming trustn consumers outta of a service I paid for and hundreds of others and either because of inadequate training, or carelessness they /employees...r failing to ensure your companys....policies...How do u sleep at nite? Where r ur ethics?
do you realize with that 149 bucks u pretty much stole from me...n how many others....I couldve bought more gifts n food for our families that need help here in Columbus, Ohio...I couldve bought 6 more large turkeys, for 6 more of our families that will not n do not have the money for Christmas dinner/ a few toys...IF THIS IS HOW UR COMPANYS EVIDENTLY DOING BUSINESS? THEN CLEARLY YOU WONT BE AROUND MUCH LONGER....
6149052872..IM DELIVERING MEALS TO FAMILIES IN NEED THIS WEEK, ALONG WITH PLAYN SANTA FOR THOSE FAMILIES ALONG W/SOME OF MY FELLOW TEACHERS....IM HOPING TO RECEIVE A CALL OR A MESSAGE HERE THAT THIS ISSUE IS RESOLVED...ITS BEEN OVER 2 WEEKS NOTHING....WELL, ILL DO MY BEST TO MAKE SURE NO 1 ELSE IS TAKEN LIKE I WAS....
HOW HARD IS IT TO DO RIGHT THING?

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the Toshiba laptop that you purchased and the problems that followed. I appreciate you taking the time to voice your questions and concerns with us, and I'll be happy to help out in any way that I can regarding your situation.
I cannot provide reason for the troubles that you encountered during this interaction; but in response to your questions, I do have some answers for you. We are unable to release purchase details, but after researching, I see that you paid the correct price that they charged you and there was no additional service plan on your unit. Ultimately what's listed on your receipt is verification for proof of purchase.
If there is anything else I can do for you, or if you have any additional comments or concerns; feel free to reply to this topic or send me a private message by selecting the link beside my name.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us on the forums!

I know that sometimes we remember things that happened differently then how they happened. You may have been planning on purchasing the Black Tie Protection Plan, but IF you had purchased it, it would show up on your receipt. The Black Tie Protection Plan has a SKU number. When you purchase it, it shows up on your receipt. If it's not on your receipt, then you didn't purchase it. I'm sorry, bou must have been mistaken when you believed that you did in fact purchase a Black Tie.
