The software was designed based on customer feedback. The typical customer does not know to renew their antivirus, when this happens they tend to get infected. With the subscription option, you never have to worry about renewing and you get the most up to date software and protection definitions.

just so you know, I went over my emails, they said it was renewed.  But I kept getting pop up notices from the anti virus that I had to contact best buy.  I did, and the person told me that it was cancelled, asked him what do I do now.  Was told to call  my local store about it.

 

So I Didn't want to go without protection & talked to  my local store about it.   They said come & buy one.  Then to get charged, anyways.  And so your store know, the buyer has polices also.

Best Buy policy to investigate an Unapproved Charge

Disgusted... trying to get a refund for a charge I didn't even approve & I have to wait 24 to 48 hrs for them to investigate???  Investigate what, I did not want my trend micro anti virus program to be renewed.  Salesman told me they would email me & ASK!!! me for my permission to use my credit card, after a YEAR!!!   I purchased a new anti virus for Best Buy THIS Year???

 

So now I am standing in the refund line, waiting for them to call my number (they are to call me back) I'll soon have to get out my sleeping bag & pitch the tent, wonder  which aisle has the smore's????

Apparently, when you sign up for the virus protection in the beginning, you sign something authorizing the program to be renewed from what I've heard, regardless of what the sales associate may or may not have said. I'm really not sure on this one though so hopefully a Community Connector can address this soon!

The subscription software is an automatic renewal and its a good bet to have since you're always protected with the latest updates and versions of whichever software you choose. A call to 1-888-BESTBUY (who handles the billing) will get you taken care of.

refund camping island blog

My online version was canceled, got charged for it anyways.  It's been since 11/18, still waiting.  Went out 11/13, the day I heard the online one was cancelled, bought another one (from Best Buy), it works, took maybe 10 mins to install, happy computer, simple.  No more installed at the store ones for me.   Rem, Always read the fine print.

 

Got an email on 12/1, my online version was cancelled, (been trying to tell them that, but can't use that email address to write back)  no mention about a refund.  Do they think I'm without an anti virus & still waiting for that, lol.

 

Not so happy, been  trying to get a refund since then, the best buy 800# might as well be talking to a push button computer generated voice, all these people do is monitor the calls going into the refund dept.  Can't talk to anyone who really could do anything.  Like if you were standing in refund line at a store, they would have to send the request away & I guess you would just have to randomly decide when to come back (if that would even happen) to get your refund.  (don't count on any phone calls back)  If you came to early & wanted to get it then, well you were advised to wait, cause if you did that, it starts this process all over again.  So I have this number, for an update.  I post it on the wall, now it replaces artwork.

 

I'm camping on this refund island, communication is gone, the aisle with the smores is getting raided badly, down to the gram cracker crumbs & the chocolate is already melted.   Even the carrier pigeons can't be found, maybe they were outsourced.

 

the spell checker doesn't recognize smores, no wonder  the birds flew the coop...
